The Eaton BladeUPS Modular UPS is an enterprise-grade, scalable three-phase uninterruptible power supply system engineered for mission-critical data centres, oil and gas control rooms, healthcare facilities, and telecom hubs across Saudi Arabia. Built on 10 kW hot-swap modules that slide into a common 12U chassis, the BladeUPS scales from 10 kW to 40 kW per chassis and can be paralleled to reach 200 kW and beyond — all without single-point failure risk. The N+1 redundancy model means one module can be removed for maintenance while the system continues delivering full rated power, a requirement that SDAIA-accredited Tier III and Tier IV data centres in Riyadh's Digital City and NEOM's cloud infrastructure explicitly mandate. The system operates at up to 97% efficiency in double-conversion mode and exceeds 99% in ECO mode, dramatically reducing heat load in air-conditioned server rooms where every kW of cooling represents significant cost in the Saudi climate.

Technically, the BladeUPS employs online double-conversion topology (VFI per IEC 62040-3), providing complete isolation from all input power anomalies including sags, surges, harmonics, and frequency deviations common on Saudi Arabia's industrial distribution networks. Input power factor correction to 0.99 eliminates generator oversizing penalties in remote oil-field sites and NEOM off-grid installations. The Unity Power Factor output allows 100% loading of connected IT equipment without derating. Each module weighs under 25 kg, enabling a two-person installation without lifting equipment — a practical benefit on fast-track data-centre fit-out projects. Battery management with advanced charging algorithms extends VRLA and lithium-ion battery life in the 45-50°C ambient conditions typical in Saudi Arabia's non-air-conditioned battery rooms.

Across the Kingdom, the BladeUPS is the standard UPS specification for SDAIA's National Data Centre Programme facilities, Ministry of Health hospital ICU and operating theatre power continuity systems, Saudi Aramco digital oilfield SCADA and DCS rooms, and SEC transmission control centres. Its modular architecture directly addresses Saudi Arabia's build-incremental procurement model, where initial IT loads are modest but capacity must be available on short notice as systems expand.
