Eaton DIL M150 Contactor

The Eaton DIL M150 Contactor is a large-frame three-pole power contactor rated at 150 A under AC-3 conditions, corresponding to 75 kW motor power at 400 V AC, and is engineered for the high-current motor switching duties encountered in major process pumps, large compressor trains, industrial fans of 55–90 kW, and high-capacity water treatment plant drives. The IP20-rated enclosure and bolt-on terminal design of the DILM150 are built to handle the high thermal stresses of 150 A continuous current in the elevated ambient temperatures typical of Saudi industrial switchgear rooms. The main contacts use a triple-break arc extinguishing system with magnetic blowout in each pole, dramatically reducing arc duration and contact erosion per switching event compared to the double-break systems used in smaller frame sizes — a critical design feature given that a 75 kW motor may be switched several times per day over decades of plant operation, accumulating millions of arc interruption events across the contactor's service life.

Electronic overload relays in the ZB series provide adjustable trip current, automatic and manual reset, trip class selection, phase-loss detection, and fault memory — all accessible from the relay front face without opening the panel — considerably reducing the time required for fault diagnosis in 24/7 process plant environments.
