Eaton NZM1 Power Circuit Breaker

The Eaton NZM1 Power Circuit Breaker is a compact moulded-case circuit breaker covering the 63 A to 160 A current rating range, designed for motor branch circuit protection, feeder protection, and power distribution switching in industrial and commercial electrical systems. The NZM1 family encompasses three breaking capacity variants — N (Normal, 36 kA at 415 V), H (High, 50 kA), and L (Extra-high, 85 kA) — allowing the engineer to precisely match the device's short-circuit breaking capacity to the calculated fault level at the installation point without over-specifying and incurring unnecessary cost. The instantaneous trip threshold is factory set at approximately 12× the rated current for motor-circuit variants, coordinating with DOL motor starting currents to avoid nuisance tripping during acceleration while still providing rapid fault clearance for short-circuit conditions. The adjustable NZM1 variant allows the thermal overload pickup to be adjusted between 63 and 160 A across the device's full frame rating, making it suitable for feeder circuits supplying variable load groups without requiring a different device for each cable size. The rotary operating handle includes provisions for padlock lockout (3 padlocks simultaneously), enabling LOTO compliance per IEC 60204-1 and Saudi Aramco's electrical safety management system.
