The CHINT NC1-95 AC Contactor is a high-power 3-pole device rated at 95 A under AC3 duty and 150 A under AC1 duty, delivering 45 kW (60 HP) motor switching capacity at 415 V AC. Manufactured to IEC 60947-4-1 and SASO-certified for Saudi Arabia, the NC1-95 is the top tier of the NC1 contactor series — a heavy-duty family positioned above the NXC series for applications involving large motors, capacitor bank switching, and high-inrush loads. The coil is available in 220 V AC (50 Hz) standard configuration and optionally in 110 V AC or 24 V DC, with the coil consuming only 10 VA in steady-state hold mode — a feature that reduces heat generation in densely packed motor control centres and extends coil life in continuous-duty applications such as pumping and compressor stations where the contactor may energise for weeks without de-energising.

The NC1-95 uses a 3-phase arc chamber with deion grid arc extinction, specifically designed for the higher arc energy produced when interrupting 95 A AC3 currents. The arc chambers are user-replaceable field items, allowing maintenance teams to restore the contactor to OEM contact and arc chamber condition without replacing the entire device body — an economically important feature in large installations where a hundred-plus contactors are in service simultaneously.
