CHINT NXC-25 AC Contactor

The CHINT NXC-25 AC Contactor is a 3-pole device rated at 25 A under AC3 duty and 50 A under AC1 duty, corresponding to 11 kW (15 HP) motor switching capacity at 415 V AC. Certified to IEC 60947-4-1 and SASO-approved, the NXC-25 is the mid-range contactor in CHINT's NXC family, widely specified in Saudi Arabia for direct-on-line starters for water pumps, process fans, air compressors, and HVAC equipment up to 11 kW. The coil is available in 220 V AC (50 Hz) as standard and can be ordered in 110 V AC or 24 V DC variants for integration with safety-rated or low-voltage control circuits. Three-pole main contacts use a double-break design with silver-cadmium-oxide contact tips for reliable make-and-break at 25 A AC3, achieving a rated mechanical endurance of 10 million operations and electrical endurance of 1 million AC3 cycles.

The NXC-25 is designed to accept CHINT's full range of add-on accessories compatible with the NXC family: 2NO+2NE auxiliary contact blocks that clip to the front face, top-mounted timing relays for star-delta or delayed-start sequencing, surge suppressors, and mechanical interlocking kits for reversing and star-delta starter assemblies. The mechanical interlock accessory is particularly important in Saudi-market motor control centres where reversal drives on process conveyors, transfer pumps, and HVAC zone-damper actuators require failsafe electrical interlocking between forward and reverse contactors. The device can be DIN-rail or panel-plate mounted and fits inside standard IEC 63 × 38 mm NEMA 1 contactor cutouts used in Saudi-market motor control centre (MCC) cassettes from local panel builders.

The 11 kW motor rating places the NXC-25 squarely in the most common contactor bracket for Saudi Arabia's building services market: 7.5–11 kW motors are the standard size for single-zone air handling units, chilled water circulation pumps in commercial buildings, and fire-fighting jockey pumps in high-rise towers. ARAMCO's residential city facilities in Dhahran, Abqaiq, and Ras Tanura use NXC-25 contactors in hundreds of HVAC and domestic pump starter panels, and SABIC's plant maintenance workshops across Jubail Industrial City stock NXC-25 as a standard spare for rotating equipment starters.
