CHINT NXM-100 Moulded Case Circuit Breaker

The CHINT NXM-100 Moulded Case Circuit Breaker is a 3-pole and 4-pole MCCB with a frame current of 100 A and an adjustable overload trip setting from 16 A to 100 A, designed to IEC 60947-2 with SASO type approval for Saudi Arabia. The NXM-100 delivers a rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) of 36 kA and a service short-circuit breaking capacity (Ics) of 25 kA at 415 V, placing it well above the minimum 10 kA typically required on secondary busbars in industrial low-voltage switchgear. Its thermal-magnetic trip unit provides adjustable overload protection via a rotary dial calibrated in amperes, combined with a fixed magnetic instantaneous trip set at approximately 10 × In for short-circuit clearance — a field-proven topology that requires no electronic power supply or battery backup to operate.

The NXM-100 is housed in a compact glass-fibre-reinforced polyester case measuring 105 mm wide for the 3-pole variant, which aligns with standard withdrawable cassette dimensions used in most Saudi-market LV switchgear assemblies. Front-connected, fixed-mounted and plug-in (drawout) versions are available, and the device accepts an extensive range of accessories including auxiliary contacts (1NO+1NE standard, expandable), alarm contacts, motor operators for remote switching, and UVR / shunt trip coils for trip-from-panel-remote applications. The operating handle has a clear O / I / TRIP indication window, and the device can be padlocked in the OFF position for isolation and lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance — mandatory on ARAMCO, SABIC, and SWCC facilities under their respective permit-to-work systems.
