LS Electric LSINVERTER IoT Gateway

The LS Electric LSINVERTER IoT Gateway (LGAP series) is a dedicated industrial protocol converter and IoT edge device designed to connect LS Electric variable frequency drives, PLCs, and power meters to cloud platforms, SCADA systems, and building management systems in Saudi Arabia's industrial IoT and smart facility projects. The LGAP gateway consolidates Modbus RTU data from up to 32 LS Electric or third-party Modbus slave devices on a single RS-485 bus and translates it to Ethernet-based protocols — Modbus TCP, MQTT, EtherNet/IP, and BACnet/IP — forwarding the data to any standard industrial IoT platform, SCADA server, or building management system. This protocol translation function eliminates the need for individual drive Ethernet option cards across a panel full of drives, reducing hardware cost significantly in large multi-drive installations at Saudi industrial facilities and commercial buildings.

The LGAP gateway incorporates edge computing capability — a 32-bit ARM processor with embedded Linux — running configurable data aggregation, time-stamping, and local storage functions that buffer up to 30 days of drive and meter data in onboard flash memory. This local buffering ensures no measurement data is lost during SCADA or network outages, maintaining data integrity for SEC energy metering and production tracking applications.
