LS SR Safety Relay

The LS SR Safety Relay is a DIN-rail-mounted functional safety device designed to monitor emergency stop pushbuttons, safety gate switches, light curtains, and two-hand control devices in machinery safety circuits in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061 standards. The SR103MPI achieves Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL 2) and Category 4 / Performance Level e (PLe) — the highest machine safety category — making it suitable for guarding the most hazardous machine operations including press tools, robotic cells, and high-force clamping machinery. The relay features dual-channel safety input monitoring, cross-fault detection, and a manual or automatic reset function with selectable start mode, allowing it to be configured for the specific risk assessment requirements of each machine without additional external components.

The SR103MPI provides three safety output contacts (2NO + 1NC) rated at 6 A / 250 V AC, capable of switching motor contactors, brake solenoids, and pneumatic valve coils directly in most applications. Response time from safety input de-energisation to output contact opening is under 10 ms, meeting the response time requirements of guard monitoring and emergency stop circuits across the full range of industrial machine speeds. The relay is powered from 24 V DC and features LED status indicators for input, output, and fault states on the front face, enabling rapid fault diagnosis without measurement equipment. IEC 61000-4 series EMC immunity ensures reliable operation in electrically noisy panel environments containing variable speed drives and motor starters.
