WEG WG20 Diesel Generator Set

The WEG WG20 Diesel Generator Set is WEG's integrated standby and prime power generation solution, combining WEG synchronous alternators with leading diesel engine brands (Perkins, Cummins, or Volvo Penta depending on rating) in a factory-built, tested package spanning 10 kVA to 3,000 kVA at 400 V, 50 Hz. The WG20 is designed to meet the standby and emergency power requirements of Saudi Arabia's commercial buildings, hospitals, data centres, industrial facilities, and remote infrastructure — a market driven by Saudi building codes mandating emergency generator backup for hospitals, high-rise buildings, and critical infrastructure under MOMRA regulations, and by the frequency of grid supply interruptions in remote and peri-urban areas of the Kingdom. The WG20 alternator is designed to IEC 60034-1 and tested to ISO 8528-5, the governing standard for AC generator sets. Voltage regulation is held within ±1% with electronic AVR, and frequency regulation is governed by the diesel engine governor to within ±5% (isochronous governor option brings this to ±0.5%). The WG20 package includes a base frame with anti-vibration mounts, a standard canopy (silenced or super-silenced), a diesel fuel day tank, a battery charger and starting batteries, a comprehensive control panel with digital metering (voltage, current, frequency, power, kWh), protection relays, and AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) functionality as standard. Generator output breaker is included. Optional paralleling capability allows multiple WG20 units to share load in n+1 redundant configurations for critical facilities such as data centres and hospitals.
