Gewiss GWS3218P

This page covers Gewiss part number GWS3218P — Gewiss Wiring Accessories and Installation Equipment. Quote the full part number with your enquiry and the item is unambiguous: one part number identifies one exact product variant, including options that are not visible in the description.

About Gewiss Wiring Accessories and Installation Equipment

Gewiss is an Italian manufacturer whose catalogue centres on installation material rather than on the visible wiring device alone. Every article carries a GW-prefixed code — GW47193, GW40402 — sometimes with a trailing letter group identifying a colour or variant, as in GW40605PM. The range covers surface and flush junction boxes in self-extinguishing plastic, weatherproof enclosures and empty boxes for distribution assemblies, consumer units and modular distribution boards from small flush units up to floor-standing frames, industrial plugs, socket outlets, connectors and mechanically interlocked socket units to IEC 60309, cable trunking, conduit and the bends, tees and couplers with them, floor and service boxes, and site-power assemblies. Alongside these sit DIN-rail devices and LED luminaires. Because the codes are opaque, a GW number identifies exactly one article: a box in one size and colour, an enclosure with one door type, a socket in one current rating and one pole configuration. Ordering by description rather than by code is where most errors start, since a single product family can run to several hundred codes that differ only in details the description omits.

Gewiss Wiring Accessories and Installation Equipment in Saudi Arabia

Gewiss installation material appears wherever a Saudi project needs protected wiring outside a finished office. Industrial plugs, interlocked sockets and IP-rated enclosures are used on plant electrical distribution in the Jubail and Yanbu complexes and at Aramco, SABIC and Ma'aden sites; on workshop and warehouse power in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah; on pumping stations, water-treatment and desalination plants; on cement and building-materials works; and on temporary construction power at NEOM, Red Sea and Diriyah. Junction boxes, trunking and conduit fittings go into car parks, logistics buildings and schools. Distribution boards sit downstream of SEC supplies at 220/230 V and 380/400 V, 60 Hz. Two local conditions drive selection: coastal salt and airborne dust argue for higher ingress protection than a European installation would use, and direct sun makes ultraviolet resistance a real consideration outdoors. Accessories placed on the Saudi market are subject to SASO conformity.

Ordering and lead time

Order by the GW code, complete with any trailing letters. Gewiss families are large, and the code is the only thing separating one variant from another: box dimensions and colour, enclosure door type and knock-out pattern, the DIN module capacity of a board, and the current rating, pole count and voltage band of an industrial socket are all carried in the code, not in the description. For enclosures, confirm the ingress protection and whether the item is supplied empty or fitted out. For industrial plugs and sockets, state the current rating, number of poles and voltage band, and whether an interlocked or straight version is required. For trunking and conduit, quote the section size and confirm which bends, tees and couplers you want on the same order — accessories carry their own codes. Everything is sourced to order and delivered duty-paid, with a typical lead time of three weeks.

Specifications are taken from the supplier's published catalogue data. Confirm against the manufacturer's current datasheet before ordering.
