Legrand UX300 Data Centre Rack

The Legrand UX300 Data Centre Rack is a professional 42U open or closed rack enclosure designed for server, networking, and AV equipment deployment in data centres, server rooms, and telecommunications facilities. Rated to a static load capacity of 2000 kg and a dynamic (rolling) load capacity of 1200 kg — among the highest in the 42U rack category — the UX300 accommodates the densest modern server configurations including blade chassis, storage arrays, and high-wattage GPU compute nodes without structural concern. The rack features a 600 mm width and 1000 mm depth in its standard configuration, accepting all 19-inch rack-mounted equipment per IEC 60297-2, and the adjustable mounting rail system accommodates equipment depths from 100 mm to 950 mm without the use of depth adapters. The perforated front and rear doors provide 80% open area for unrestricted airflow, critical for maintaining acceptable inlet temperatures in the high-density compute environments of Saudi Arabia's rapidly growing hyperscale data centre sector.

The UX300 is engineered with Saudi Arabia's seismic and environmental requirements in mind. The welded steel frame construction (1.5 mm cold-rolled steel) provides zone 2A seismic resistance to IBC 2018 standards — relevant for data centres in regions of Saudi Arabia with moderate seismic activity — and all vertical mounting rails are hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance in the humid coastal environments of Jeddah and the Eastern Province. The integrated cable management system — comprising vertical cable managers at both sides and horizontal cable managers at every 2U — eliminates cable clutter that impedes airflow and makes maintenance difficult in high-density racks. The rack's bottom cable entry with removable blanking panels and the perforated side panels facilitate both overhead and underfloor cable management approaches, accommodating the varied data centre architectural styles used across Saudi Arabia's fast-growing data centre portfolio.

Saudi Arabia's ambitious National Data Centre Strategy, a key pillar of the Vision 2030 Digital Transformation Programme, targets deployment of over 1 GW of data centre capacity in the Kingdom by 2030 — placing the Kingdom among the top five data centre markets in the Middle East.
