WEG MGW Digital Energy Meter

The WEG MGW Digital Energy Meter is a DIN-rail-mounted single-phase and three-phase electronic energy meter providing Class 0.5S or Class 1 accuracy measurement of active energy (kWh), reactive energy (kVArh), apparent energy (kVAh), and power demand with MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) and IEC 62053 type approval. Available in single-phase (MGW-M) and three-phase (MGW-T) versions with current ratings of 5 A, 10 A, 25 A, 65 A, and 100 A for direct connection and via current transformers for higher currents, the MGW is the standard sub-metering device for energy monitoring in commercial buildings, industrial panels, and tenant metering applications across Saudi Arabia. Its Modbus RTU RS-485 communication port enables integration into building management systems (BMS), SCADA systems, and energy management platforms without additional hardware.

The MGW energy meter is designed to IEC 62052-11 and IEC 62053-22 (Class 0.5S) or IEC 62053-21 (Class 1), with CE marking and MID approval for fiscal metering applications where legal metrology requirements apply. The meter's wide power supply range (80–270 V AC) allows operation in both single-phase and three-phase three-wire (3P3W) and three-phase four-wire (3P4W) systems without separate auxiliary supply, simplifying panel wiring. The display shows all measured values on a backlit LCD with multi-parameter scrolling, and a pulse output allows remote energy counting integration with external BMS or data loggers.
