WEG SSW900 Heavy-Duty Electronic Soft Starter

The WEG SSW900 Heavy-Duty Electronic Soft Starter is engineered for the most demanding motor starting applications in Saudi Arabia's industrial sectors, covering motor currents from 30 A to 1,800 A at 220–575 V three-phase. Unlike basic soft starters that simply ramp voltage, the SSW900 uses WEG's advanced thyristor control to precisely regulate both voltage and current during acceleration, eliminating the mechanical shock and electrical stress that reduce motor and driven equipment life in pump, compressor, and fan starting applications. The SSW900 includes an extensive built-in protection suite: electronic motor thermal model (IEC 60947-4-2 compliant), phase-loss and phase-sequence protection, stall, jam, and undercurrent (dry-run) detection, and insulation resistance testing capability for predictive maintenance. The built-in HMI with graphical display provides real-time current, voltage, power, and energy monitoring, making it a comprehensive motor protection relay and metering device as well as a soft starter.
