WEG W22 560M 4-Pole IE3 Medium Voltage Motor

The WEG W22 560M medium voltage motor provides increased power output within the 560M frame designation, supporting applications from approximately 900kW to 1400kW at 6.6kV and above. At this power level, the motor is firmly in the territory of API 541 form-wound induction motors for petroleum and chemical industry service, and WEG's W22 560M is designed and documented to meet all API 541 Fifth Edition requirements when ordered with the applicable option package.

The 560M frame accommodates an extended stator stack compared to the 560S, providing additional copper conductor volume and iron core cross-section to support the higher power ratings. The result is a motor with exceptional thermal margin—critical for Saudi Arabia's high ambient temperature conditions—and excellent pull-out torque characteristics that protect against motor stall under momentary overload conditions during process upsets.

API 541 applications for the W22 560M include centrifugal gas compressor drivers in NGL (natural gas liquids) recovery plants, booster compressor drivers at gas compression stations, large centrifugal pump drivers for crude oil, seawater injection, and product transfer service, and large fan drivers for air cooler units.
