ABB AM600 Continuous Gas Analyzer

The ABB AM600 Continuous Gas Analyzer is a multi-component extractive gas analysis system designed for Saudi Arabia's flue gas monitoring, process gas quality control, and environmental compliance reporting requirements. Complying with Saudi General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection (GAMEP) continuous emission monitoring standards and Saudi Aramco SAES-Z-001 environmental monitoring specifications, the AM600 simultaneously measures CO, CO₂, SO₂, NO, NO₂, O₂, and hydrocarbons across industrial stacks and process vents. The analyzer's 19-inch rack-mount format fits standard Saudi Aramco and SEC analyzerhouses without modification.

The AM600 uses ABB's proven non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) and ultraviolet (UV) dual-beam technology with automatic reference gas correction that maintains calibration stability in the extreme temperatures of Saudi Arabia's summer, where analyzerhouse ambient temperatures can exceed 45°C. The integrated sample conditioning system includes heat-traced sample lines, moisture elimination, and particulate filtration to handle the high-sulfur content flue gases from Saudi Aramco's heavy fuel oil-fired boilers and SEC gas turbine exhausts. Zero and span auto-calibration with certified reference gases from Saudi gas suppliers ensures compliance with GAMEP reporting intervals.

For Saudi Aramco's flare gas recovery and management programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 environmental commitments, the AM600 provides continuous BTU content monitoring of flare header gases, enabling quantification of hydrocarbon losses and compliance with SEC-mandated flare reduction targets. SABIC and Saudi Aramco use the AM600 at ethylene cracker furnaces to optimize combustion efficiency, reducing fuel gas consumption and CO₂ emissions for Saudi Arabia's climate commitments under the Paris Agreement and Saudi Green Initiative targets.
