Meeting the demanding requirements of SWCC desalination plant feed and product water measurement, NWC municipal water network metering, and SABIC process water monitoring, the FSE150 delivers Class 0.5% accuracy across the 0.5 to 10 m/s velocity range. The electromagnetic principle means no moving parts or pressure drop, eliminating maintenance burdens in remote Saudi desert pumping stations where service visits are costly and infrequent.
The FSE150 uses ABB's patented 16-electrode sensor technology that self-monitors electrode condition and detects coating or scaling before measurement accuracy is affected — a critical feature for Saudi Arabia's mineral-rich groundwater and seawater desalination streams with high Total Dissolved Solids. The transmitter's on-board Fourier filtering eliminates flow noise from Saudi Aramco water injection pumps and SEC turbine cooling systems, providing stable readings even during pump start/stop transients. Hard-rubber and PTFE liner options resist the slightly acidic treated water streams in SWCC reverse osmosis plant product lines.
With dual-channel capability, the FSE150 simultaneously measures forward and reverse flow directions for Saudi Aramco water injection well monitoring and NWC network leak detection programs. The integrated M-Bus and Modbus RTU communication options connect directly to Saudi smart city SCADA systems and NEOM infrastructure management platforms.
