The Endress+Hauser Cerabar M PMC51 Pressure Transmitter uses ceramic measuring cell technology to provide exceptional reliability in Saudi Arabia's most challenging process media, including abrasive slurries, highly viscous crude oil, and crystallizing chemical streams that quickly damage metallic diaphragm sensors. The Ceraphire® ceramic measuring cell requires no oil fill, eliminating the risk of oil contamination in food and pharmaceutical applications at Saudi Arabia's SFDA-regulated facilities and removing the thermal drift associated with oil-filled capillary systems used in traditional stainless steel transmitters at high-temperature SABIC process points.

The PMC51's chemically inert aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) ceramic diaphragm is rated to resist all concentrations of hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, and caustic soda encountered in SABIC's basic chemicals production at Jubail Industrial City, where conventional metallic diaphragms suffer accelerated corrosion. The ceramic's hardness of 9 Mohs provides exceptional abrasion resistance for slurry applications at Saudi Arabia's mineral processing facilities operated by Ma'aden Phosphate Company and Saudi Cement Company. Working pressure of up to 40 bar and vacuum measurement capability cover the full range of Saudi Aramco gas separation and SABIC distillation applications.
