NSK XTREME LG2 Ultra-High-Performance Bearing Grease 400g

NSK XTREME LG2 is NSK's premium ultra-high-performance bearing grease, formulated specifically to extend the relubrication interval and service life of rolling element bearings operating under the demanding conditions of high temperature, high load, high speed, water washout, and severe vibration. The LG2 formulation uses a lithium complex thickener system combined with a high-viscosity synthetic base oil, delivering a grease with an operating temperature range of -30°C to +160°C peak, a high extreme-pressure (EP) additive package for heavy-load film strength, and superior water resistance that resists washout and emulsification in wet or humid environments. NSK developed the XTREME range specifically to address the limitation of standard lithium-based general-purpose greases in demanding industrial applications, and the LG2 is the flagship formulation in that range.

In Saudi Arabia, the LG2 grease is particularly well matched to the country's industrial operating environment. Summer ambient temperatures frequently exceed 50°C in the Eastern Province, Riyadh, and other inland locations, and electric motor bearing housings in outdoor or poorly ventilated installations can reach 80–100°C in summer operation — temperatures at which standard lithium greases soften, migrate, and ultimately fail to maintain the lubricating film between rolling elements and raceways. The LG2's synthetic base oil retains its viscosity at elevated temperature far more effectively than mineral oil-based greases, maintaining adequate film thickness at the bearing contact zones throughout the Saudi summer operating season without requiring increased regreasing frequency.

At Saudi Aramco facilities, rotating equipment maintenance engineers increasingly specify NSK LG2 or equivalent synthetic EP greases for critical pump and motor bearing positions that are difficult to access for routine regreasing, such as motor bearings in submerged or semi-submersible pump configurations, fan motor bearings in elevated or hard-to-reach positions, and pump motor bearings in continuous-duty service where shutdown for regreasing would impact production.
