LT120 — Metso Lokotrack LT120 Mobile Jaw Crusher

The Metso Lokotrack LT120 is a fully self-contained, track-mounted mobile jaw crushing plant built around the proven Nordberg C120 jaw crusher, engineered for primary crushing in quarrying, mining, demolition recycling, and large civil engineering projects. The LT120 combines the C120 crusher's 1,200 × 870 mm feed opening — accepting feed up to 650 mm — with a heavy-duty feeder, primary screen for fines bypass, main conveyor, and a side-discharge conveyor for stockpiling, all on a single self-propelled crawler chassis. The diesel-electric drive system pairs a Tier 4 Final / Stage V diesel engine with an electric generator set, driving the crusher, feeder, and conveyors via electric motors — combining the mobility advantages of diesel with the efficiency and precise speed control of electric drive.

The LT120's crushing capacity of 400–800 t/h (depending on feed material and CSS setting) makes it one of the most productive mobile jaw crushers available for projects requiring rapid deployment, multiple operating locations, or primary crushing at points where fixed crushing infrastructure is not economically justified. The integrated primary screen allows sub-deck fines to bypass the jaw crusher, reducing unnecessary recirculation of already-acceptable product and improving effective throughput at a given jaw setting. The LT120's automatic C-cavity feed control (using the radio remote or optional plant automation system) maintains a full but not over-loaded crusher cavity, maximising throughput while preventing crusher stalls — the most common productivity loss in mobile jaw crushing operations.

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 construction programme has created enormous demand for mobile crushing capacity. The NEOM linear city project, spanning 170 km of mountainous terrain in the Tabuk Region, requires primary crushing of blasted granite and basalt at hundreds of locations along the linear route — a geographically distributed crushing requirement ideally served by a fleet of mobile jaw crushers rather than a single fixed plant. Saudi construction contractors including NESMA & Partners and Saudi Binladin Group have operated Lokotrack fleets for on-site aggregate production, reducing dependence on long-distance aggregate haulage from fixed quarries and cutting delivered aggregate cost significantly. For the Riyadh urban expansion and NEOM, Lokotrack units offer the flexibility to relocate the crushing plant as the active construction front advances.

Razz Middle East offers LT120 sales, rental, and aftermarket support across the Kingdom. We carry local stock of Nordberg C120 jaw dies, conveyor belts, and engine filter service kits for the LT120 platform, and our field service engineers provide mobile maintenance support at remote construction sites in Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Hejaz, and the Eastern Province.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Nordberg C120 jaw crusher base unit accepts up to 650 mm feed, delivering 400–800 t/h primary crushing capacity on a single self-contained diesel-electric crawler chassis.
  • Diesel-electric drive system combines diesel mobility with precise electric motor speed control on crusher, feeder, and conveyors — improving energy efficiency versus pure hydraulic drive systems.
  • Integrated primary fines-bypass screen reduces recirculation of already-acceptable material through the crusher, increasing net throughput at a given jaw setting.
  • Automatic C-cavity feed control maintains optimal crusher cavity fill level via radio remote or plant automation, preventing stalls and maximising throughput without operator intervention.
  • Hydraulic self-propelled crawler chassis enables rapid relocation between crushing locations at multi-face quarries or along distributed construction routes such as NEOM's linear city.
  • On-board IC (Intelligence Control) automation system provides real-time production data logging, remote monitoring via LTE/satellite, and integration with Metso fleet management for multi-unit operations.

Industrial Applications in Saudi Arabia

  • Primary crushing along NEOM's 170 km linear city construction route in Tabuk Region, where distributed granite and basalt crushing at multiple active faces requires mobile rather than fixed crushing plant.
  • On-site aggregate production for Saudi Binladin Group and NESMA & Partners Vision 2030 civil infrastructure package contracts, reducing delivered aggregate cost by eliminating long-distance haulage.
  • Quarry primary crushing at Saudi Cement limestone quarries in the Eastern Province and Western Region, providing flexible primary crushing capacity that relocates as quarry faces advance.
  • Hard rock blasted aggregate primary crushing for major highway and expressway projects under the National Roads Programme, where the mobile LT120 follows the active paving front.
  • Demolition concrete recycling in Riyadh and Jeddah urban renewal zones, processing demolished building rubble into recycled aggregate for fill and road subbase applications.
