The Flowserve Worcester 39 Series is a full-port, three-piece, fire-safe ball valve designed to API 607 fire testing, ASME B16.34 pressure-temperature ratings, and API 6D pipeline valve service requirements — the combination of standards that ensures acceptance in ARAMCO, SABIC, and Saudi engineering authority approvals processes for hydrocarbon process and pipeline isolation service. The 39-200 model designates the two-inch body size in the 39 Series, rated to the Class 300 ASME pressure-temperature envelope appropriate for ARAMCO GOSP process piping operating at pressures up to 51 bar. The three-piece body design provides the same back-pullout maintenance benefit as API 610 pumps — the centre body section is removed with the ball and seats without cutting the piping, enabling in-place seat and seal maintenance that is particularly valuable in elevated or congested piping locations common in SABIC distillation column overhead systems and ARAMCO GOSP produced water headers.

The 39 Series ball uses a trunnion-mounted design with spring-loaded seats that maintain a consistent, low-torque seal at all operating pressures — unlike floating ball designs where the seating torque increases proportionally with pressure and can make manual actuation physically difficult on large valves at high operating pressures.
