FLSmidth ABON Double Roll Sizer 2000mm

The FLSmidth ABON Double Roll Sizer 2000mm is a high-capacity primary and secondary mineral sizing machine designed to process run-of-mine material in continuous mining, conveyor-to-conveyor crushing, and direct-dump hopper feed configurations. The ABON-DRS-2000 pairs two counter-rotating toothed rolls on a common mainframe, each driven by independent gearboxes and motors, allowing one roll to remain in operation for product discharge while the other is being cleared of blockages — eliminating the full-plant stoppages that plague single-roll or jaw crusher configurations in wet, sticky ore conditions common to Saudi phosphate and bauxite deposits.

The double roll geometry provides a true sizing action in two planes simultaneously: the primary nip between the rolls crushes large lumps, and the secondary action between roll teeth and the machine frame controls the top product size with precision. The 2000mm roll face width allows throughput up to 3500 t/h of phosphate or limestone at a top size of 200mm, making the ABON-DRS-2000 one of the highest-capacity sizing machines available for surface mining operations. Tooth profiles are interchangeable and are selected from FLSmidth's application library based on ore hardness (UCS), moisture content, and clay content — parameters that vary significantly across Saudi Arabia's Thurayban and Al Jalamid phosphate deposits.
