The FLSmidth ABON Chain Sizer 1500mm wide is a heavy-duty, low-speed mineral sizing machine purpose-built for breaking oversize lumps in run-of-mine ore and providing controlled, consistent product sizing ahead of downstream beneficiation circuits. Unlike conventional impact crushers, the ABON Chain Sizer uses intermeshing chain curtains driven at low peripheral velocity to shatter friable minerals along natural cleavage planes, producing a minimum of fines — a critical advantage in phosphate rock, potash, and limestone operations where generation of ultra-fines wastes valuable mineral and degrades downstream flotation and classification performance.

The 1500mm wide ABON-CS-1500 is engineered for feed lumps up to 1200mm in the largest dimension and throughput rates up to 1500 t/h depending on ore characteristics. The chain assembly is fabricated from abrasion-resistant manganese steel alloys, allowing extended wear life in highly siliceous or abrasive ore streams without frequent changeouts.
